Imerj have come out with an Android smartphone which very much resembles the Kyocera Echo. Both devices being dual screen Android devices that want to transform the smartphone market and how we use our devices.


Personally I don't think dual screen devices will take off in the market yet, maybe never. Major problems being the design, OS compatibility and having to open it every time to use it properly.

However Engadget are reporting that the Smartpad from Imerj feels a lot better in the hand than the Kyocera Echo and feels a lot more of a premium device.

It features Android 2.3 and has multi-tasking features such as having two different apps running at the same time, one on one screen and the other on the other screen.

It is a prototype so it is not going to be released any time soon.
