Griff Genuine Leather Grip Case for iPad 2 [Dante Red] [Review]

Thanks to Cretouch for sending this iPad 2 leather grip to me. They went through the trouble of sending it all the way from America so be sure visit their store for mobile phone cases.
When the iPad 2 was released, Apple also released the Smart Cover. Many people were sceptical over the Smart Cover due to it only protecting the screen, leaving the back completely naked to scratches. Cretouch came out with a leather grip which is supposed to compliment the Smart Cover, covering the back of the iPad 2. The leather grip comes in 8 different colours, the same colours which the Smart Covers come in.

Pros:

• Genuine leather so it feels and looks great
• Will provide very good protection for the back of the iPad 2
• 8 different colours to match the 8 different coloured Smart Covers

Cons:

• Expensive, however it is Genuine Leather so it will be a premium price
• Can look unfinished without a Smart Cover

The case is very solid and is covered in a layer of genuine leather. It will easily protect the back of your iPad 2 from scratches and dirt. I found that when using the case I have more of a grip on the iPad and am not as scared as much of it slipping out of my hands. The iPad sits very tight and snug in the case, each corner of the case grabbing a hold of each corner of the iPad.

 It is also does not add much bulk compared to other cases but it definitely is not the thinnest back cover.

The inside of the case has a lovely soft micro fiber chamude interior which protects the iPad from getting scratched against the case.

The case does not cover any of the buttons or ports, giving quick and easy access to them all.

The external speaker is covered by a mesh to give even more protection to it. It does not seem to affect the sound quality at all .

On the left side of the cover there are slight cut-outs for the Smart Cover. The Smart Cover works perfectly with the cover having no trouble with latching on the iPad. Unfortunately I do not have any pictures of the cover being used with the Smart Cover. Also I found that the look seems quite unfinished when there is no Smart Cover with it.

Overall
This cover is great for anyone looking for protection for the back of their iPad 2. It will do a very good job of protecting the back from scratches and dirt. It is made from genuine leather so it looks and feel great, giving a classy look. However because of this it is at a premium price of $49.99 so it may be too expensive for some.
