Cool Bananas seem to be coming out with many iPad cases which come in many different styles to suit any persons needs.
- Probably one of the best looking iPad cases out there
- No having to pay a premium price for a premium look
- Actually very durable
Cons:
- Not genuine leather
- No easy access to iPad buttons
- May easily get dirty
This iPad case is definitely one of the best looking iPad cases I have seen. It's a very cool envelope style case which has a very retro look. The case' primary objective is just to protect the iPad. It is not supposed to do anything else but house your iPad and keep it away from every day drops, knocks and scratches. There really is not much to say about this case because it does not do anything else.
The back of the case had a few creases when I received it. I don't know if it is supposed to look like this or not, either way I don't mind it, still looks great.
The case is not pure white, it seems to have a cream-ish tinge to it. You can see this when you compare the seal.
The logo is indented into the case. Keeping to the minimal styling through-out. The case can easily get dirty so I had to be careful as to where I rest it. When I did get it dirty however, it was easy to wipe off with a sponge.
The case is kept together with a magnetic latch. However the bit where it folds has quite a bit of tension so it will not flap about everywhere if the magnets come apart.
The case is actually quite thin. However it expands enough to fit the original iPad. You could even shove a few papers in there like I did when using this case.
As you can see, there is still quite a bit of space which can be used.
The iPad easily slides in out of the case. It's also compatible with the Smart Cover so for people who already have the Smart Cover but just want to protect the whole iPad when not in use, this case could be a good choice for them.
The inside of the case has a lovely micro fibre type material inside. It actually does wipe your iPad when you slide it in and out, it may not get all fingerprints off but it does a good job.
The case has a tough memory type exterior which will protect the iPad. When I saw this on the MobileFun website I must admit at first I thought it will be quite flimsy and it's only here for the looks and not the protection. I was wrong.
Overall
This case' primary objective is just to hold and protect your iPad in style. It does not provide any sort of access to buttons or ports. It's a very minimal retro style case which is directed at the fashion concious individual. So if you're looking for style instead of functionality this case may be for you.
