HTC Sense 3.0

As you probably know, HTC have announced version 3.0 of Sense along with the HTC Sensation phone. Sense 3.0 includes more animations, new gestures, carousel-like homescreen scrolling, new widgets and adapted UI.

The homescreen now has a specially-adapted dock which enable applications to be opened by dragging them. The widgets are now much more animated- as in the HTC Hub on Windows Phone 7. For example the weather widget takes you on a tour around the sky before reaching your homescreen! The carousel allows you to quickly flick your homescreens to see the whiz round.


Sense also enhances the features of Gingerbread and the applications of Stock Android phones. HTC has improved their messaging application and the Camera application- as always- is beautiful! The notification bar in this version of Sense is now tabbed so 'Quick Settings' can be accessed. The new HTC Watch application is also being released with this ROM.

The Sense 3.0 developers' ROM has been flashed to the Desire HD which shows its admirable cross-compatibility. The UI currently appears too large and, since it is aligned with the top left of the screen, the bottom right is partially cut off. A solution to this is still to be made as it is not a simple problem which can be fixed from within the ROM itself.

Here is the collection of my modded widgets. They only work with HDPI devices. All you need to do is flash them over through recovery OR ADB push them to your device, remember to also remove the corresponding apps before doing so. These are not regular APK files so don't try to install through Astro or anything like that, it will NOT work.
