Yes you read it right, skis by the German automotive manufacturer Audi, the same people who brought us the beautifully crafted R8, quattro, and many other models. The skis come from the Audi Concept Design Munich team, along with the Australian sporting gear provider, HEAD. They are made of carbon fiber wraped around a wooden core, as well as aluminum and titanium. With this, the skis are flexible and very lightweight, around 2 pounds each, but still provide rigidity. Aesthetically, the skis are exactly what you would expect from Audi, looking very sleek, yet simple and sporting logos from both companies, each on one end. With the 30 year anniversary of the original Audi quattro came a new concept for a more modern version of the racer. That concept has since turned into a fully functioning vehicle, with a very sleek and clean design and a clear resemblance to the style of Audi. Don't expect to see one of these around your neighborhood anytime soon as it is only available to very few to drive and test, and is currently worth about $5.2 million.
